PE bag
Definition and Material
PE bags are plastic bags made of polyethylene, which are processed and molded through film blowing, cutting, sealing and other processes.
Characteristics: Polyethylene is polymerized from ethylene, which is non-toxic, odorless, acid and alkali resistant, low temperature resistant, waterproof and insulating, etc. It is widely used in the field of packaging.
Classification and Structure
Classified by material density:
High-pressure PE bags (LDPE): made of low-density polyethylene, flexible and transparent, suitable for food cling film, flexible packaging.
Low pressure PE bags (HDPE): made of high density polyethylene, high hardness, strong puncture resistance, suitable for heavy packaging or industrial use.
Recyclable PE bags: made of recycled polyethylene (such as Recycled LDPE/HDPE), in line with the trend of environmental protection.
Categorized by use and process:
Flat Bag: Bottom closure, simple structure, used for packaging of light weight items.
Self-sealing bags/chain bags: with re-sealable bone strips, easy to keep food or small items.
Anti-static PE bags: add anti-static masterbatch, protect electronic products from static damage.
Core Characteristics
Safety:
Food grade PE bags comply with national standards (GB4806.7-2016), non-toxic and odorless, suitable for room temperature food packaging.
Not suitable for high temperature (>110℃), high grease or freezing environment, may release harmful substances.
Physical properties:
Resistant to low temperature (-50℃ to 80℃), good chemical stability, but easy to age at high temperature.
High-pressure PE bags have high toughness but low strength; low-pressure PE bags have high strength but poor ductility.
Environmental friendliness:
Recyclable PE materials support recycling and reduce resource waste.
Application Scenario
Food packaging:
LDPE cling film is used for vegetable and meat preservation; HDPE bags are used for bulk food in supermarkets.
Industry & Logistics:
Anti-static PE bags are used for electronic components packaging; HDPE heavy duty bags are used for mechanical parts transportation.
Daily Life:
Self-sealing bags for storing jewelry and small objects; flat bags for clothing and daily necessities packaging.
